#Travel … Day out in Oban

September 24, 2015

For my birthday we took a wee day trip to Oban. I did suggest the train but my co-pilot was happy to drive and I was happy to sit back and take in the views!
Oban is one of those places that is on my Scottish bucket list of places to visit. In fact I may do a separate blog post on this subject!

Oban is roughly 2 and a half to 3 hrs drive from Glasgow and there is stunning scenery to take in and so many places that I seen on the way up that I want to go back and see!

We parked up behind the train station and headed for lunch at The Olive Garden … keep your eyes peeled for a blog post as they have an amazing gluten free menu!

After lunch we went a wander around and visited the Oban Chocolate Shop where I picked up some goodies. We checked out the tourist info for some ideas on future trips!

We then took a drive up to the Scottish Sea Life Santurary where we arrived just in time to see the sea lions being fed! It was amazing!!

It was a lovely day out and I can’t wait to go back when I have a bit more time to explore properly!
