Although not located in Glasgow The Inn at Torbrex is somewhere that I had to post about as I recently enjoyed a lovely lunch there. Located in Stirling it was only a 35 minute drive away and was well worth it!
I had been recommended to try the Inn on one of the facebook groups that I am in and I am so pleased that I did.
I loved the outside of the Inn and the owners have done a great job in keeping with tradition whilst inside there is a good mix of modern booths with shabby chic touches.
We arrived just after 12pm and were lucky to be seated in one of the booths. I dunno why but I do love a booth seat! I had already looked at the menu online so I had a rough idea of what I wanted but I spied on the special menu Chicken Satay. Sadly it was not able to be prepared gluten free but I really appreciated the knowledge level of our waiter.
The menu clearly highlighted what was gluten free and I knew I had to go for the Macaroni Cheese with chips. I have since found out that the garlic bread can also be made gluten free so I will be keeping that in mind for next time!
As I am sure that you can see my lunch was beautifully presented and I was thrilled to see my mac n cheese topped with mozzarella as this is my favourite cheese ever!
It was gorgeous and gooey and very deceiving on how big a portion it actually was. I couldn’t finish it all which is very unlike me!
If you are in the area then I really do recommend you check these guys out. By the time we were leaving at 1.30pm the restaurant was nearly full and our waiter told us that they were fully booked for dinner so it may be worth calling ahead to reserve a table.
