#GlutenFreeGlasgow … The Cup and Saucer Vintage Tea Room

August 19, 2016
Last week I took a little trip into the west end to meet a friend before a hospital appointment and we went to The Cup and Saucer Vintage Tea Room which is located in De’Courcy’s Arcade on Cresswell Lane.

I have been in before but it was quite a long time ago and I read online that they had increased their gluten free range so I was excited to try some of their products.

One of the reasons that I loved this little tea room is that it is like stepping back in time to my old auntie’s house with all the old fashioned furniture and accessories.

When looking over the menu I was tempted to go with my usual section of baked potato but I was drawn to the soup of the day Leek and Asparagus especially when I spied that it was gluten free too!

The soup was so delicious. Nice and creamy and was the perfect accompaniment to my cheese and onion toastie. I could easily have had seconds it was that good!

Naturally the only way to finish over lunch was to have a delicious slice of almond and apricot cake which was simply divine!

I was so impressed when I went to pay my bill. For my soup and sandwich plus cake and 2 cans of diet coke the total amount was £9.95.

Fantastic value and I am already planning my next visit!
