Yesterday I caught up my good friend and fellow blogger Julie for a wee spot of lunch.

As I am still de-bloating from Tunisia a 100% gluten free lunch was definitely needed on my part. I am part of a Facebook group called Gluten Free and Me and one of the girls on there recommended a wee place in Shawlands called The Glad Cafe.
I had a wee nosy at their menu before going an was pleased to see they offered gluten free bread and cakes and other options.
I had the sandwich with chicken and Parmesan cheese with a side order of skinny fries followed by a slice of lemon drizzle cake.
This was a really lovely and well priced lunch and the lemon drizzle cake was so good. It was really moist and honestly did not taste like it was gluten free.
Whilst paying for lunch we had a wee chat with the girls behind the counter and the gluten free cakes are supplied by Wild Flours Bakery.
You can find them here … www.wildflours.co.uk
The Glad Cafe is also a live music and events venue and have lots going on which is great for the Shawlands area. If you fancy checking them out you can find them at
