I was diagnosed with a Primary Liver Cancer known as Hepatocellular Carcinoma on Friday the 13th May 2016 and I underwent surgery to remove a 6cm tumour on 9th June 2016. I also had 2 further tumours removed which thankfully came back as benign.
I have documented my journey in blog posts and have grouped them all in this page for anyone to access easily.

Chemotherapy has not been offered following my surgery as my tumour Hepatocellular Carcinoma does not respond to the therapy so there is no point in putting my body through the treatment.

Following my surgery I have been told that the malignant tumour was successfully removed and there was no evidence of spread to any other organs, however there are still multiple benign lesions on my liver that will need monitored most likely for the rest of my life.

Current Update:

5/11/16 1st Post Op MRI scan was CLEAR!! 🙂 🙂

10/3/17 – 2nd MRI scan was CLEAR!!

11/9/17 – 3rd MRI scan was CLEAR!!

16/10/17 – Internal Liver Ultrasound – tumours stable!
